It's a known fact that vLite does not work properly with 7. Nuhi has said so. If you read the vLite forums you see people having all kinds of problems with just Vista, not to mention 7. IMO, not worth it.

Anyone needing a trimmed down 7 would be better off installing normally on another machine and disabling all the stuff they don't want and/or need and then running sysprep and imagex and then install to the lesser machine.

The memory usage on the first boot is extremely small, I remember the ultimate edition takes like 800-900mb.

    64bit available?

Anyway you'll be f**cked once a major updates comes out or a program is asking for a missing component, like it was for Vista. You won't be able to re-install the missing stuff unlike XP.

Because eXperince said that 64 Bit version will not fit on 1 CD that's why he didn't make it.
I read it in his forum.

Ok. I got this version, a nd installed it. Games work a bit faster (mainly intensive games set on high quality @1600x1200).

However, this does not have the one thing I need. Network support...... The internet works, but I can't see any of the PCs on my LAN. Which is a big problem for me. So, I'm opting to make my own, with network support.

So question: What version of imagex do I use with vLite? vLite seems to crash when it is prepairing to rebuild, sooo, any Ideas? This was supposedly made with vLite, right?

I got it working with old version of imagex. I suppose I'll have to rebuild it somehow with dism. Well, I'll figure it out.

well, I also removed the auto activation since it uses a loader. I didn't need that. Kept the disable hibernation bat and tcpip patcher thing though.

Yeah, the same here. :( vLite is very unstable. It works sometimes and then suddenly not.. I haven't figured it out yet what's exactly causing crashing. It seems to me though that no imagex version matters here..
Ended up with 772 MB iso myself. Everything i want to be working works - networking, gadgets, integrated updates, lang. pack etc. Installer can be fitted freely onto 1GB USB stick with buncha xtra stuffs. :D

How do you add stuff back in? I want my network printer to work but keep getting 2 errors. One is tcp mib library error and another one. Can anyone help with this?
