Hello, I'm a new user. Sorry to disturb if this is common knowledge to you, but I think it can be useful for some.

After I installed SP1, I wondered how to remove the backup files to save space. In Windows Vista it's possible to run the 'compcln.exe'-command but it's not included in Windows 7 SP1.

The files can be removed from the Disk Cleaning tool (cleanmgr.exe) For me, It free'd up about 500MB.

Does any of you know smarter methods? I'd like to hear about them. Thank you.

compcln was superseded by the more general-purpose dism in NT6.1. Run "dism /?" for a list of available commands.

    DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /spsuperseded

But beware, if you have IE 9 beta installed, you can't remove it after this.
