Is this really any different than just delaying the updates in pro?
No, the updates won't be installed at all unless you remove your WiFi from metered connection.
Oh dam people still didn't figured out it yet. just pull out your lan cable
But that would naturally cut you off from the internet... We only wish to remove these damn automatic updates and replace with manual ones...
Thank you arifkarim for the tip!
Dont bother with ltsb for manual updates. Tried it and still did automatic download and install.
What did you try?
Already found the policy in gpedit to not download automatically
Don't care though cause I'm running wifi with metered connection
Disabled things of Windows Updated in group policy edit to not automatically download and install updates as someone in other thread said about LTSB, but did not work.
Your supposed to enable it.
Did you try after disabling it if the updates are not downloading and gives you the option to press download?
Which one exactly there?
User config > admin templates > system
Then Windows Automatic Updates and set to enable
In the help section it says to enable for prohibiting for searching for updates
Then use the show/hide tool and your good to go
Does this solve forums.mydigitallife.net/threads/62424-DISCUSSION-Windows-10-Build-10240?p=1101308&viewfull=1#post1101308
No need to even use show / hide tool after setting your WiFi to metered connection.
Yea but Ethernet users are suffering right now
Yes, with this method you can always choose what update you wish to install.
