If you have problems with Win 7 RTM and explorer.exe disable the hsmgr.exe from the startup using MSCONFIG, don't touch the hsmgr64.exe if you use Win7 x64 disable only the hsmgr.exe. After a reboot all your problems with the explorer.exe are history
