    Tokens.dat of Vista can Active Windows 7 ?

    Any 1 test ?

    Windows 7 pre-beta can be activated through inet with Vista Beta keys, which anyone could get from MS for free two years ago...

    I tried OEM activation using Vista tokens.dat on a VM. Did not work.

    I am thai

    Services->Software Protection and choose "Disabled" as Startup method reboot 1

    copy & paste tokens.dat

    Dot not start up service Software Protection

    Happy long life used windows7

    But do not windows update

    I haven't started playing around with 7 yet, but did you said you tried the OEM method, did you copy the cert over too?

    Which VMware version are you using? Cuz the version I have wont detect the VM disk at all , so i couldnt install the W7 .... regards fellows...

    Yes - The cert imported with no errors.
