Would still be a good idea to leave a warning for those who do not plan on using these ISOs for messing around with integrating updates...

I don't know, if you use the .1 version and neglect to update you kind of get what you asked for. The issues with the initial release are well documented and no one should be in the dark about that. I don't think it's the tool's job to warn anyone.

In any case if there's some reason a person can't or won't update the .107 release is available, which still has its share of issues too. It's not unheard of or uncommon for initial releases to have issues. You pretty much have to update either online or offline before you do much else with an installation instance.

Updates can be an important consideration with LTSC and enterprise editions since you can easily turn off automatic updates. There are bad updates that come down the pipe once in while. I've run into a couple and it's why I do all mine manually. That was a primary reason for me to run LTSC among others.

I see. Any way to check if it's like untouched ISO from MS? I searched the file name but couldn't find any source that I can check and compare the hash like we used to do with MSDN / Insider Preview ISO files. Since there is no conversion for En-US ISO, I'd like to know where is it downloaded from, if it wasn't ISO in the first place, how it is converted to ISO and how to see if it has no "alien code particle" -if you know what I mean- in it?

I also realized the new way of getting the ISO with partial downloads, confirming and so on.

Don't get me wrong though, being suspicious about almost anything is the new data protection way in these days.

Btw, is there a way to get only the December feature update (in exe or msu file format) that we normally download via WU?

    Thanks

Question... When all said and done, I got the ISO, SVF and an EVAL file. Can I delete the EVAL and SVF now?

Anyway, just want to thank SLAVE77 for the incredible tool! My only regret is I might never have to run it again...not for awhile anyway.

They can be deleted, although i tend to store the source ISO in case i need it again (i'm a hoarder with ~14 TB storage).

When switching from MSDN to MVS lately, MS stopped offering the possibility to see any hashes without a valid MVS account (which is eligable for the respective builds). Those times are over. For the last ISO releases @mkuba50 offered the hashes (dumped from MVS) in the sticky threads of the respective builds.

The tool uses the dumped MVS hashes to verify the files are created correctly.

Source ISOs for Windows 7 and Windows 10 1809 Dec Refresh are original/untouched en-us MVS ISOs. Hosting those ISOs is difficult and they very likely get removed fast. For that reason we use EVAL ISOs if possible since they are officially available with static direct links from MS Servers.

Problem is the size of SVF for the Refresh ISOs if there is no refreshed EVAL. I.e. the SVFs for 1809 Dec Refresh from 17763.1 EVAL would be ~1,5 GB each.

To avoid the huge SVFs, @mkuba50 created a solution to upload the MVS en-us ISOs splitted and encrypted to avoid the deletion. The tool downloads the chunks, decrypts and merges them to the original ISO and matches the hash.

MDL doesn't allow any non-original ISOs to be shared in general.

Does en_windows_10_enterprise_ltsc_2019_x64_dvd_74865958.iso have the full Dark Theme? IE: File Explore? Thanks!

After downloading 3.3gb, the CN switched to 13 and started downloading at 70kbps. Took like forever to complete the remaining download. Tried this on two different downloads, any idea why?

    EDIT:
Switched to a VPN in the 3rd download, switched to a different CN and it downloaded at a very high rate. Maybe its just CN13.

In case of problem do not forget to mention what ISO you actually tried to create :D. Without that info it's impossible to check.

    @Digittone

After selecting the version that you want in SVF2ISO, you click download and let it run. On a clean run, it will download a base ISO, then check it, followed by an SVF file, check that, then it will finally create the selected ISO from those two. Did you let it do that?

Then, make sure you used the created ISO, not the base ISO, to install your system.

It works perfectly as above - I selected exactly the same as you in your screenshot.

Just make sure that nothing gets blocked by your local firewall if you have one. If you have, it should give you at least two new program alerts iirc.
