Tool to dump Synaptics TouchPad firmware

    Hi,

    I had a situation where the wrong Synaptics firmware was flashed on a notebook's touchpad, needles to say, it stopped working and I could not find Synaptics firmware for this touchpad. However, I have access to an identical notebook where I can get the firmware if I have the tool to dump it.

    I have the SynReflash64.exe but this only flashes the (img) Firmware.

    Does any one have a tool to dump the Touchpad Firmware?

    Hi,
    You probably need dump fw via i2c protocol.
    there is some information about Synaptics RMI Interface

    I need a lot of learning to do that.

    I personally solved my problem by editing a packaged firmware. But I still think that a Dumping tool is needed since a lot of people face this issue.

    Would someone "kindly" create a dumping tool?
