    Modified my Toshiba laptop BIOS, per instructions.
    Looked like the mod went OK.

    Laptop rebooted OK.

    Now Toshiba won't boot to Floppy, USB, or DVD.

    1 - Laptop shows the Toshiba screen when it powers up.
    2 - You can press F2 (same as always) and go into the Toshiba BIOS setup screen, and change and save basic Bios settings.
    3 - After you save and change, reboot, the Toshiba, just won't boot off of Floppy, USB or DVD...

    How to fix? Is there a fix? If I can't boot to the DOS floppy how can you re-flash the bios?

    Any tips or tricks appreciated!

    What is the model of your Toshiba notebook? Is it using an insyde H2O BIOS?

    Apparently Toshiba did release a BIOS update with SLIC 2.1 pre-inserted into it. It was for the L300D Series of notebooks.

    And to reflash your insyde bios back to the original one, just edit the platform.ini file and change this line:

    [Bios_Version_Check]
    flag=1

    to:

    [Bios_Version_Check]
    flag=0

    Please don't hijack this thread. Your problem is unrelated. Also you need to describe your problem a little more than Windows doesn't boot.
