Toshiba NB300 - RAM upgrade

    Hello,

    I want to upgrade the RAM available at one Toshiba NB300. The maximum is 2GB in the only slot available. This is the original one that it's installed right now:

    I'd found some models of 2GB under PC3 - 8500S specs but they are 2Rx8 instead of 1Rx8. Does it matter? Will it still work or should I try to keep the same specs? (1Rx8 PC3 - 8500S)

    1Rx8 1.5V and 2Rx8 1.35V is two-sided memory stick.....by the same module.

    So I can buy the 2GB 2Rx8 model without problem?

    No what trying to explain is that your mobo mite just work on memory running at 1.5V check your specs first 2Rx8 is 1.35V mite not work.

    I'd buy a 2GB-RAM memory from ELPIDA that matches almost all specs except the 1Rx8 thing and it didn't work. I don't know if this PC only accept Samsung or something since the memory is working in another PC...

    Sounds like the laptop in question only runs on ram at 1.5V
