I'm just coming back up after the loss of 2 other qosmio laptops (~2k$ each) this time I'd like to make sure my laptop is not sellable on ebay As the title states I own a toshiba qosmio x505-q898 with the newest bios update; I've been out of the game for quite a while and all the tools I've tryed say they wont work on x64..... Basicly I want to change the splash image to a image containing "This laptop would never be sold, if found etc" Attached is the image I need to change it to any help would be greatly appreciated and I may be willing to compensate via paypal
I would advise you to remove that attachment. There's lots of personal info... I did try to open your BIOS with Phoenix BIOS Editor but I got a "PSI analysis fail" error. What you could try doing is reflash your BIOS and make the backup. Then post the backup on a file share website like sendspace.com and maybe the backup can be modified.
