For the product type, you need to pick the archived products.
Since your cpu doesn't support 64bit or VT, then just stick with your current bios that you installed already.

Toshiba Canada has taken the file down

    209.167.114.38/support/Download/files_downloads/pspa1c/vista/Audio4.8.0.0.zip

could someone please upload it somewhere (e.g. filehoster) and post the link? Would be great :)

thank you so much, tqhoang - finally I got SOUND again, first time in 64 bit. Never before I had to spend that much time hunting for a stupid driver. Some people at Toshiba, feel guilty. Very guilty.

I'm also pretty bummed after realizing that this chipset (Intel Mobile 945) is a 32 bit Chipset, killing quite a bit of the 4GB RAM in this Toshi despite of the 64bit Win7 now running on a 2GHz Core2Duo. msinfo32: Total Physical Memory 2.99 GB | Available Physical Memory 1.68 GB .. :(

I'll try again uploading to some spidering/ mirroring file hosters - the three I know were ALL down or taxed out y-day Saturday .....

Hello, my uncle installed 7loader on my Toshiba Satellite P105 S6084 . And problably he has activated. I uninstalled the program and now ACPI table shows SLIC 2.0. There some time ago but I am quite sure I left this notebook flashed with slic 2.1.
How did it rolled back by the loader ???

tqhoang would you reupload your file with DSDT support ?

    respect

    (OP)
BIOS Setup is showing version V4.70. I might have flashed one bios user Ipmark sent me:
    " Toshiba_P105_S6084_sp100v470_TOSHIBA_SLIC_DYNAMIC. rar "

(1)Why does ACPI table rolled back to SLIC 2.0 (aida64, rweverything, slic toolkit) ?

(2)Is OK to install one mod over another ?

sup tphoang, what usb boot have you used ?
    there is a guide thread /8909 (nojuan999) with 3 options (?) on #1 topic. What's difference between them ?

    what phlash command /mode=3 (0, 1, 2, 3) does ?

I've booted this laptop to a SanDisk 512MB USB stick that was formatted with the HP USB Storage Format Tool and the free Mini-DOS.

IIRC, the phlash16 option "/mode=3" refreshes the DMI information. I don't recall what the different values mean, but I assume it's some variation of updating the DMI information...possibly {omit updating, different merges, overwrite, etc.}.

    hello tqhoang, appreciate your help
I am not familiar with the software, you said 'free Mini-DOS', is it the FreeDOS ?
Either way, send me the USB boot drive program.
