    Hello
my Toshiba Satellite P105 S6084 bios v3.30 time for an update to Bios v4.70 .
Bios flash utility phlash16, are there a newer version of the bios flash utility or it is not required?
What's DOS command to backup system bios?
*I have tried with HWinfo32 to check full brand name but instead it shows 'Toshiba Satellite P105'. Is there a way/software which would report also the 'S6084' ?
*Also who runs this laptop brand, there is a Windows Update for it named — "CXT - modem HDAUDIO Soft Data Fax Modem with SmartCP (Optional Update)" installed on "C:\Program Files\CONEXANT\CNXT_MODEM_HDAUDIO_VEN_14F1&DEV_5047&SUBSYS_1179FF31\HXFSetup.exe" — what is it?
    Appreciate all instructions
    Ivan

It is missing an audio driver. I guess w7 don't have the built-in driver, even Windows Update hasn't listed.
    audio driver for vista ?
    I can't reach the europe site for driver download: P Seriers > P300, P300D, P500, P750, P755, P770, P775
WHere are the P100/105? I cant reach the bios download page.
    www.toshiba-tro.de/subpage/bios.html is unavaible.
    appreciate your attention

    consider this question: is Satellite P105 S6084 64 bit? I have installed W7 x86, but i really don't know.
well, Toshiba should be wise to set individual downloads for W7 Installer. It's very annoying.
    downloads:
    *app_3g_wan_manager_TC10031700B.exe
    *driver_cardreader_ti_TC00173900B.exe
    *driver_fingerprint_upek_TC00237700A.exe
    *driver_fingerprint_upek_TC00251000B.exe
    *x86.zip bunch of drivers package
*TouchChip FIngerprint Coprocessor — Protetor Suite QL
*Texas Instruments PCIxx12 Integrated FlashMedia Controller
    *HDA CX20551 Soft Modem
    *Texas Instruments PCI-8x12/7x12/6x12
I would like to have the option to choose what to install. Is that possible?
for the Audio driver, wasnt downloaded. had a complication during donwload. can't find way to download via this installer, untill now.
    appreciate your instructions

Yes, the Intel chipset inside the Toshiba P100/P105 supports 64-bit. You need to find out if your CPU model supports 64-bit though. But unless you have 4GB installed, then 64-bit you're not really missing much. You can install CPU-Z and see if your CPU supports the EM64T instruction...or look in the BIOS and find your CPU model on Wikipedia.

I have no idea if you can pick which things to install. That Toshiba Win7 Installer does it all and for the most part gets everything correct except for the audio driver. You'll need to install that Audio4.8.0.0.zip afterwards (hint: look for the post from "Generator-1" for detailed install directions).

BTW, I've tested all of my BIOS mods on my Mom's Toshiba P105 and they work fine with Win7 64-bit.

toshibaeuropebios.jpg <<<Can't find my Toshiba Satellite Model in this list.
Configuration of P105 S6084 = Intel (Centrino Mobile Technology) Core Duo Processor T2300E wiki says it doesnt support Intel VT.
Does this CPU supports 64bit? Here says 32 bit.
    appreciate your help!

For the product type, you need to pick the archived products.
Since your cpu doesn't support 64bit or VT, then just stick with your current bios that you installed already.

thank you so much, tqhoang - finally I got SOUND again, first time in 64 bit. Never before I had to spend that much time hunting for a stupid driver. Some people at Toshiba, feel guilty. Very guilty.

I'm also pretty bummed after realizing that this chipset (Intel Mobile 945) is a 32 bit Chipset, killing quite a bit of the 4GB RAM in this Toshi despite of the 64bit Win7 now running on a 2GHz Core2Duo. msinfo32: Total Physical Memory 2.99 GB | Available Physical Memory 1.68 GB .. :(

I'll try again uploading to some spidering/ mirroring file hosters - the three I know were ALL down or taxed out y-day Saturday .....

Hello, my uncle installed 7loader on my Toshiba Satellite P105 S6084 . And problably he has activated. I uninstalled the program and now ACPI table shows SLIC 2.0. There some time ago but I am quite sure I left this notebook flashed with slic 2.1.
How did it rolled back by the loader ???

tqhoang would you reupload your file with DSDT support ?

    respect

Yes, this adds "Windows 2009" to the DSDT to support Windows 7. Sorry, no whitelist mods.

BIOS Setup is showing version V4.70. I might have flashed one bios user Ipmark sent me:
    " Toshiba_P105_S6084_sp100v470_TOSHIBA_SLIC_DYNAMIC. rar "

(1)Why does ACPI table rolled back to SLIC 2.0 (aida64, rweverything, slic toolkit) ?

(2)Is OK to install one mod over another ?

    1. You must have done something wrong.
    2. Yes, just flash my v4.80 mod over top. Just make sure you do it from DOS.

sup tphoang, what usb boot have you used ?
    there is a guide thread /8909 (nojuan999) with 3 options (?) on #1 topic. What's difference between them ?

    what phlash command /mode=3 (0, 1, 2, 3) does ?

I've booted this laptop to a SanDisk 512MB USB stick that was formatted with the HP USB Storage Format Tool and the free Mini-DOS.

IIRC, the phlash16 option "/mode=3" refreshes the DMI information. I don't recall what the different values mean, but I assume it's some variation of updating the DMI information...possibly {omit updating, different merges, overwrite, etc.}.

    hello tqhoang, appreciate your help
I am not familiar with the software, you said 'free Mini-DOS', is it the FreeDOS ?
Either way, send me the USB boot drive program.
