You can extract the EXE file with WinRAR. BIO0064T.COM appears to be the BIOS file, but it's not obvious what kind it is. It may be a compressed image.
This is Toshiba's BIOS. Toshiba BIOS has Toshiba, Phoenix, Insyde 3 brands. I have a Portege M500 (U200), I am trying to add SLIC 2.1 too.
Tecra M9 with SLIC 2.1?? is there any progress with this ROM? I have a Toshiba Tecra M9 that I am hoping to get modded with SLIC 2.1 as well. Does it look like it can be done?
Stuck Is this a problem with checksums? I am still trying to find an updated slic for the tecra but have not found anything. Is there anything I can do to help - such as dump my bios or something? Or is this notebook stuck for a while?
I think the biggest problem is that Toshiba no longer use their own BIOS for the newer laptops. They are either Phoenix or Insyde. The current ones that still use Toshiba BIOS are the Tecra and some Portege models. Most BIOS are back-dated to March 2009. Only the A10 has the June 2009 BIOS. When we cannot find a SLIC 2.1 Toshiba BIOS to compare with, we can't get it modded.
well, it's not a phoenix bios, so i'm unsure, maybe go into the bios on the machine and see what sort it is, that'd be a good start
