I teach a computer tech class at a college. From what I showed my class of all this I have seen more excitement over this interface then I ever saw for Windows 7 ect. It is a big change but one I think a lot of people want to see. The people stuck on Windows XP and never want to learn anything new or stay up with tech are not the kinds of people Microsoft or even Apple are trying to market to. They are not going to be buying new tech. Windows 7 improved the interface of Windows to a point that I personally hated using a XP computer because the interface felt slow clunky and unuserfriendly when compared to Windows 7. I think this new interface (of which we have had just a small taste) is going to take that feeling to a whole new level. I also think it’s going to push touch and tablet interfaces into the hands of more people than even the iPad. But as with all things time will tell.
