but works just fine with 2 other comp with win 7 home pro.
It shows up in the device manager with a small yellow triangle.
It says it is not installed properly.
It will not let me uninstall or update the driver. It says that windows encountered a problem installing driver software for my device.

I can't find the drivers to install manually since it appears they don't exist. I checked in Transcend web site.
I tried deleting the lowerfilters and upperfilters from the registry. It didn't help.

    What can i do? :confused::confused::confused:

    Thanks

    (OP)
After doing some more checkups i get the message -
The drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 28)
But then when i ask him to look for the driver online it says-
    transcend ....doesn't have a driver.

    Now what?:mad2:

Looking at the comp where it does work, i have the following driver details:
    StoreJet Transcend usb device

    c:\windows\system32\DRIVERS\disk.sys
    c:\windows\system32\drivers\PartMgr.sys
    Provider Microsoft

Looking online where can i find this driver?

I have tried to export the drivers from the working computers.
I copied Drivers and Driver Store as well as INF from the other comp and took it to this com.
When doing driver update and letting it look at these folders it gave the error message "access denied" it didn't say it had a problem finding it.

When i tried to do the same from the internet it also said "access denied"

    thoughts anyone?

First, did you install all the drivers for you mobo (normally provided on a cd) after windows installation ? Check on the manufacturer website to pick up them. Install all needed, reboot if necessary and check again if all is ok in "Device Manager".

Surely on the box delivered with the motherboard or the manual, you should have that.
Or use aida64 to find it.

Now it messed up my sound driver as well.
I keep getting the access denied message every time i try to do something regarding drivers.
Why? It will not let me fix this sound driver and will not do it automatically.Just "access denied" all the time!

It appears to me that my problem is permission related.
I am logged in as administrator but still am not permitted to change the drivers.
How do i :Dget the right permissions?
