I've been using Vista for about 2 years with minimum difficulties. Today I received a message that my, "Trial Period Expires in 13 Days". My Vista says 'Genuine' and my 'slmgr.vbs -dlv' says that the trial period ends June 2010. Anyway, I realize that 7 is much better but I have so much 'stuff' on Vista and with MS blocking all 7 tweaks, etc that it's not a good time to upgrade. I am a senior citizen with average intelligence re: 'improper' shortcuts to make this work. Can someone advise/suggest what to do to be able to extend the 13 days without interruption or . . . Finances are extremely short and with Vista being unstable vs 7 I don't want to purchase a new copy. PM is ok to response and I hope I don't loose my 'stuff'. I'm backing up my harddrive as we speak. Thanks for any and all help.
Ohcrap Another guy on a swedish forum has the same problem, a windows popped up today sayin he has to activate vista within 13 days... Changed MB few times, using genuin vista since release etc.
Information please.. Is this OEM machine or custom build? If custom build, info on mainboard please.. If OEM, which model please. Stay away from the Chew and WAT cracks..bad juju If you want to use a loader, you will be having this problem again later. Give me as much info as you can on the machine specs and the previous nefarious programs you have used to maintain activation..
Thanks. This is a Compaq Presario SR1710NX with AMD Sempron 3400+ 2.oo GHz. Don't know what I installed 2 years ago to keep it running this long.
