Hello, I have such trouble in hp laserjet 1010 printer driver installing. Today i installed windows 7 Home premium x86 on PC everything went ok. all drivers ok, i installed all basic programs fine and works good. but when came turn a printer i plug usb cable of HP laserjet printer to PC it recognized it itself and started installing drivers it installed 1-2 step after that in 3rd step appeared such error : ,,Generic IEEE 1284.4 Printing support doesn't have a driver." what is problem? Please help me to solve that trouble. thanks in advanced.
As stated the HP Laserjet 1010 printer is not supported under Windows 7 but the HP1010 is a Host Based printer. HP has a driver for Windows VISTA Host Based printing that will run under Windows 7 ( lj1010serieshb-vista32.zip ). The driver can be found on the HP driver page for HP LaserJet 1010/1012/1015. Instructions to install can be found if you search for "HP1010 Host Based Printing".
