Load and default. Tested and possible. CMOS Reset HRW is not possible, PC is locked (i want skip any warranty trouble). I have done a new test. I have tried to make a 2.0 slic mod using andyp tool. Result: on first original bios loading the tool give me the message that bios has into a 2.0 slic. If i press yes the only mod that i can generate is dynamic mod (that do not works!). So i press cancel and i generate a SSV2 mod using a 2.0 slic. It seems now works. RW v1.3 can read slic 2.0 correctly. This nite i'll try to activate. I thinl it's ok now. This prove that the above mod generated with dynamic method is not working on this mobo.
@ alex_voyager, glad you got it working just out of interest did you really have to add asus slic 2 couldn't you have used a 2.1 slic and made up another oem dvd so you would be ready for windows 7.
Dynamic mod should work. It's a matter of using andy's tool. At advanced option check replace FC module additionally Uncheck 'replace dummy SLIC table id with'..... This mod you have to flash with afudos: Afudos /ixxxx.rom /pbnc /n xxxx.rom is your modified bios. Anyway it worked for you.... better....don't play again....

I have modded BIOS files latest versions (0516) for ASUS P5KPL-AM, both SLIC2.0 and SLIC1.1+SLIC2.1 SLIC2.0 is ASUS and worked fine to activate Vista without any problem. SLIC1.1+SLIC2.1 is DELL and worked fine for activating Windows XP, haven't tried Windows 7 activation as need a find an xml certificate. If you need these files I can post.
