I have run into a problem with a Insyde bios for a Compaq Presario CQ40. Problem is that when I open the bios file, http: / / dl.dropbox.com/u/10899771/30F7F66U.FD, in Andy's Tool then it states that it already has SLIC 2.1.

After flashing the bios using flas**t something is wrong with the SLIC table. It is mostly fill with nulls, as can been seen in the SLIC_Dump. http: / / dl.dropbox.com/u/10899771/SLIC_basic.jpg and http: / / dl.dropbox.com/u/10899771/SLIC_adv.jpg

Does anyone have any idea, why this is happening and how to fix?
Also let me know if you need anymore information.

I have solved this problem. SLIC was blocked in EEPROM.
Should you have the same problem then look here, http: / / forums.mydigitallife.net/posts/169183054, for a solution that will save you a lot of trouble. I recommend that you find a newer version of HPBCxxxx.exe than is shown in the post. I used HPBC280.exe, which you can find in this post, http: / / forums.mydigitallife.net/threads/9055-SLP-Marker-File-Update-Utility?p=131386&viewfull=1#post131386.
