    Hi,

My Dell XPS 15 will arrive sometime early next week hopefully.

I have ordered a 128GB mSATA drive so will need to reinstall Win 8 and would like to do so with a clean copy.

I'm unsure if it'll be CoreSingleLanguage or not, so I've been trying to source both the correct ISOs so I've got them ready on a couple of pen drives using rufus and can just put one in depending on the results of slmgr.vbs /dlv

    Currently I have:
    en_windows_8_x64_dvd_915440.iso
    SHA1: 1ce53ad5f60419cf04a715cf3233f247e48beec4

    Win_8_x64_Dell.iso
    SHA1: bb8a465c7efeb69b121b876c67e1d7106114fdd8

The above Win_8_x64_Dell.iso created using en_windows_8_x64_dvd_915440.isoWin_8_x64_Dell-PRO_CSL.svf

I know the "en_windows_8_x64_dvd_915440.iso" one is correct, I have confirmed the SHA1 with MSDN but am unsure about Win_8_x64_Dell.iso. Is it CoreSingleLanguage and is the SHA1 correct?

Will one of these work on the Dell laptop with no problems?

The laptop is coming with Windows 8 normal (not Pro)

Wow, can't believe this is my first post, have been browsing this forum for years!! Hello all!

    Thanks,
    Craig.

Thanks all, I'll take a look & thanks very much for links :)

The 8.1 ISOs linked above are both Core & Pro (and SingleLanguage is separate if needed), so I shouldn't have to modify my bios? As long as I install either SingleLanguage or Core/Pro depending on the slmgr output then should it activate correctly etc. on this laptop?

    [Edit]
Does anyone have details for the en-gb single language or can I use the en-us & just change the keyboard layout etc? I'm downloading en-gb Core/Pro and en-us Single Language now but would prefer a en-gb Single Language if available.

    Thanks

Maybe I'll leave that until I've got the laptop running with a clean Windows 8.1.

Do I have to mod it as mentioned in post #4 or can I just install one of the ISOs from the 8.1 ISOs above and it should work fine in terms of activation etc?

Is there somewhere I can download the en-gb language file, then I can follow the language change guide by BTOR?

    Thanks.

    @BTOR

I think he wants en-GB CoreSL media which is still unpublished.

Thanks BTOR. I got those both downloaded after Tito posted the link to 8.1 but wanted either the en-gb single language or the en-gb cab for 8.1 so I can modify it myself.

I found "Windows-8.1-WinPE-OCs-x64_en-gb.7z" (en-GB lp.cab) posted on here. BTOR, do you know if that'll work with the guide you posted on changing the language of a Windows 8 ISO?
