"Turn Windows features on or off" is empty. It doesn't show any of the features there. I uninstalled a bunch of the features like IE8, Media Center, games, so on. When I rebooted, the feature list was gone. I also disabled a bunch of services. I don't know which it could have been though. I don't regularly update Windows and there did seems to be a few extra services that I haven't seen before.

I have looked several places online. Nothing really helped. I need some other suggestions here.

Could it be that you installed any of the "lite" versions of OS?

Did you try this to see which are enabled/dissabled?

    Open CMD >type....... dism /online /Get-Features /format:table

there is nothing stupid about it ,its a detterent against idiots who randomely join forums and post nothing but spam or porn links .
having a minimum limit on posts before one can post links or pictures ,obviousely wont stop it completely ,but is a pretty good detterents as the spammers dont want to have to hang around .

I think the rule should be modified further , to allow mods to discount the posts that are of no value and just made to "bump up the count"
I have seen new members visiting all the forums in turn .posting rubbish that has nothing to do with the topic , just to get thier post count up . the mods " moderators" should have the power to remove those posts and members should make shure that they at least post material that is relevent to the topic .

What do you want to enable? You can enable any of the features with DISM.

    Is this really a problem?
When I do the same I never look back to the features list, who really cares if it's empty or not, the only thing of importance is that the unnecessary junk is uninstalled and computer running normally.

What you guys say, I guess, is all true. I don't really ever look back in there. However, once in a while you might need to go back into it for something or another for whatever reason, and I like to know that I have complete functionality and ease of access. Ease of access is kind of hindered when stuff fails to load.

I have reinstalled Windows 7 64 bit, installed drivers and everything else but have not "Turn Windows features on or off" or touched the Services as of yet. I have just completed everything and am going to do a restart to be sure nothing up to this point has caused this issue.

    I'll keep you posted.

In "Turn Windows features on or off" I have everything but WMP and Mircosoft .NET Framework uninstalled and the list still appears. I will proceed to disabling services.

I have found the solution that is on no other website.

Disabling the service "Windows Modules Installer" will cause "Turn Windows features on or off" to be blank.

    GG, guys. :)

Glad you solved it and it's great that you're experimenting with the services.

There is however excellent written guides/tutorials on the net which provides information on services that is safe to disable and what they do.
That way you can compare your list with theirs and the risks for breaking things would be minimal.

Would you be referring to BlackVipers website? Even his barebones setup is bloated. I enjoy taking it down to the bare minimum. If there are snags along the way like this one, so be it. I will learn Windows even more. I would show you a few screenshots of my services and my task manager but I don't yet have to post to do it.

When I start Windows 7, 14% of my 4gb are being used and only 16 Processes. I challenge anyone to beat that.

Just post the screenshots and I can beat that :D

    Only kidding, that's great.

I usually go for 22 processes, that's on a rig that's never online and is just for emulation.
