I can run Angry Birds Rio in WCP without using the above mentioned tutorial. I just download the latest driver from Intel and run the game's exe file.

Really? Which card do you use? The Windows 7 drivers don't seem to work for most of us..

EDIT: Just figured out that the OpenGL error occurs only with self-compiled apps..

I think we have to wait until official release of Intel driver for W8....until then is nothing to do with WCP black screen during WCP install on Intel HD 3000 graphics:(

That's odd, since that's the one I have and I successfully upgraded from W7 to W8. Driver is the one that was installed automatically, 2/22/2012, v9.17.10.2661. Too bad it doesn't support OpenGL.

Mine is same.. The device manager will say that you don't have a newer. The one you have on Windows 8 doesn't support OpenGL. That's why you have to follow this tutorial.

I tryed all methods written here on my Dell Inspiron n5110 with Intel HD 3000 graphics...seems nothing works I tryed to upgrade from Windows 7 both architectures, updated or not,SP 1 or just Windoes 7...I tryed to install many, many drivers....no results until now....my laptop boots just in Safe Mode or boots with black screen...I tryed to upgrade from WDP who has all drivers installed....BTW until now there is NO WAY to get my laptop to function as a normal laptop with WCP installed.....:(
