What changes do i need to make on my desktop pc so i can use my tv as a monitor? Using windows 10 as OS. thx
I actually use a 32" TV for my desktop monitor. My TV has 3 HDMI ports and I plugged my video card into the HDMI2 port of my TV and that worked out fine. I could have also done it via DVI or VGA. My system would have supported sound in either HDMI or DVI with the HDMI adaptor cable but I rather just do it via straight HDMI.
even though i have a separate video card, I have it connected to mobo port as that is the only one that shows hdmi2 on tv. Any ideas?
At slave77, when i plug the hdmi into the card, it doesnt show hmdi2 as a source i can use on tv. Just when i plug it into modo it shows. How to check in bios to see it it is enabled plz?
In UEFI on Advanced Screen / Chipset configuration: when i get here how do i tell if it is enabled or not, plz?
Check my post above yours, i linked to the manual. Check page 64 for a pictures that shows what you ask .
On my nVidia drivers settings for multi-monitor there is an option to force TV detection. Might be the AMD driver has this likewise.
