Ubuntu 15.10 makes loud speaker pop on boot

    You have 3 choices: switch distro, wait until Ubuntu 16.04 LTS final comes out or keep your current distro.
    P.S. Have you tried another distro in live mode to see if the pop is still there?

    The pop is with any distro that has a kernel above 4. I just want to know if it will damage the speakers?
