    Hi!

    I can't boot off USB, DVD and I can't even boot off my HDD. :confused: :confused:
    Only options are network adapter boot ipv4 and ipv6.

    Laptop model: HP G6-2104so
    InsydeH2O, F.29
    Legacy boot: disabled
    secure boot:Disabled

    I set up a tftp server with TinyPXE and booted a modified efi shell 2.0 from the network. Now I'm in the efi shell.

    From the Efi shell I saw:

    UEFI Interactive Shell v2.0. UEFI v2.31 (INSYDE Corp., 0x100000001). Revision 1.02

    So the question is:
    How do I get my windows 8.1 on the HDD bootable again, and why can't I boot off any USB drive i've tried? And why are the DevPaths for CD/DVD ROM DRIVE and USB DRIVE empty? :eek:

    Any help is appreciated!!
    Thanks!

    EDIT: NEW INFO

    Okay, this time I inserted an USB DRIVE to the computer.

    So now there's 2 additional items on the bottom of the Mapping table

    3rd usb port:
    BLK6: Alias(s):
    PciRoot(0x0)/Pci(0x12, 0x2)/USB(0x0, 0x0)
    BLK7: Alias(s):
    PciRoot(0x0)/Pci(0x12, 0x2)/USB(0x0, 0x0)/HD(1, MBR, 0xD01669F5, 0x800, 0x1DD0800)

    EDIT: there are actually 3 usb ports on this laptop, so I inserted the same usb drive to the other usb ports aswell.

    1st usb port:
    BLK0: Alias(s):
    PciRoot(0x0)/Pci(0x10, 0x0)/USB(0x3, 0x0)
    BLK1: Alias(s):
    PciRoot(0x0)/Pci(0x10, 0x0)/USB(0x3, 0x0)/HD(1, MBR, 0xD01669F5, 0x800, 0x1DD0800)

    2nd usb port:
    BLK0: Alias(s):
    PciRoot(0x0)/Pci(0x10, 0x1)/USB(0x2, 0x0)
    BLK1: Alias(s):
    PciRoot(0x0)/Pci(0x10, 0x1)/USB(0x2, 0x0)/HD(1, MBR, 0xD01669F5, 0x800, 0x1DD0800)

    The output of bcfg boot dump -v is still the same

    and why are there no fs* devices??? :confused::confused::confused:

    I got windows booting somehow... by booting the uefi shell and issuing the command map -r and then exiting, the OS Boot manager reappeared on the boot list so I could boot to the desktop. after restart i have to go through this again and it's pissing me off... Why is it doing this???
