I've been trying to download windows update on a fresh install of windows 8 pro with different dvds like Windows 8 Pro With media center & without media center{With & without activating it}. But every time I tried downloading it I get "Code 8024402F Windows update ran into a problem". I've checked my internet connection which is ok, I've tried downloading it with Windows defender, Windows firewall and Windows smart screen off but to of no avail, I'm literally at my wit's end, if anyone could get me out of this predicament I'd be really grateful to him.Please help me guys. Thanks.
which kind of activation did you choose? You only get updates when really activated either by legit key or KMS
Did that, installed fresh Windows 8 pro 64 bit without running any crack, Tried to download windows update but failed. Then tried downloading after running pirate activator but with no result. Please help
Guys I did format the partitioned drive before installing from different sources of windows 8 pro dvds.
hello, First of all, format your drive and do a clean install of W8, then activate with kms. When it's done just verify all your drivers are ok, if not then update will not succeed, I faced the same problem with ACPI drivers. Do not use a antivirus/firewall like eset smart security 5, it will block your updates also. Finally, use a free WMC key to activate definitivly and give some screenshots if the problem still appears with more details also.
