unable to format

    tried to format my friends lap "hp probook 4520s"
    but i cannot make it boot using dvd or usb
    i changed the bios to boot from dvd or usb but no use
    it is running vista ultimate
    help mates

    ensure that in bios these devices are in boot order and then move device to boot first and then press f10 to save changes

    did as you mentioned mate
    but no use mate
    after exiting the bios saving the changes the lap restarts and when it comes to boot stage it doesnt boot the dvd or the usb but a screen flashes and boots the harddisk instead

    The optical drive could be faulty or the boot media could be faulty, what are you using as boot media?

    try to disable secureboot if it is available in bios.

    Remove the hard drive to force it to boot from the other media and see what error message displayed.
