Hi, I am unable to upgrade from home to pro on a new Asus laptop that came with Windows 10 home edition. When I try to change the key with slmgr -ipk I get the 0xC004F069 error.

When I try to do a clean install, it automatically installs the home version and always with the same key. I think an ASUS OEM key??

    Any ideas?, thanks in advance.

Thankyou all for your help, ("settings" > "Update & Security" > "activation" and use "Change productkey" enter the generic Pro key) worked for me.

Glennsamuel32, next time I do a clean install I'll try adding ei.cfg, thanks.

By the way, I was experimenting with my Asus OEM home activation before upgrading to Pro and I was able to convert it to Digital entitlement running gatherosstate.exe in the W10 Home itself, changing the key to the W10 generic home key, copying the file GenuineTicket.xml to %ProgramData%\Microsoft\Windows\ClipSVC\GenuineTicket\ and restarting.

This changed your home to pro, but doesn't activate your system. You have to invoque a KMS solution (MKT or Kmspico), or by an activation key.

OK, thanks, by I was asking just for the upgrade process. I didn't have any problem for the rest of the process.
