How can I prevent the blue prompts which look like the following image from appearing on Windows 10 2004? They appear from time to time. For instance, some time ago, one regarding Kaspersky appeared reminding me to renew its license.
Disable notifications and Windows Action/Security Centre. I also hate Windows telling me, what it does: You have just connected ... (I know), There are new updates (I do not care), You should restart (Oh, just shut up).
I no longer have Kaspersky installed so I no longer have said prompt and I haven't had others like the mentioned one. EDIT: After installing MSI Center in Windows 11 and running it, MSI Center asks to restart the PC in to finish the install and after clicking "Yes", said blue prompt (saying Windows will shut down in 10 minutes) appears. After clicking "Close", Windows immediately shuts down. I find it odd MSI Center is currently the only program I use that makes this prompt appear. It seems disabling all notifications, unchecking the Windows Action settings I could and disabling Windows Security didn't prevent these blue prompts from appearing.
But how haven't you considered that it is probably necessary to install the update? Second, why do you desperately refuse to update your Windows and use all the latest programs and drivers? After all, this problem is a problem you have made yourself. Looks like you enjoy it. Do not install such a programs that won't work on your system.
I don't think it's necessary since I guess if I manually restarted the PC it would be installed, anyway. I also don't understand what you state afterwards since I always install all the available drivers in Windows Update and always update programs and MSI Center is for my system.
You can think whatever you want, but if the creator of the patcher or updater thought that he determines when the restart is made, then you have to accept it or make Your own installer.
OK, but I disabled all notifications, unchecked the Windows Action settings I could and disabled Windows Security so I guess it shouldn't appear. What about the one regarding Kaspersky, then?
Like I stated, I no longer use Kaspersky (and for some years) and I just wanted to know why it made this prompt appear.
Unfortunately, it is impossible to guess why he did it - of course, if there was any connection with Kaspersky. But it doesn't matter at all whether there was a connection or not. You will never need something like Kaspersky and that says it all. Never! NB! I will not reply to this topic no more, have a good day.
Yes, there was, because like I stated, it reminded me to renew its license. Again, I no longer use Kaspersky (or other antivirus, for that matter, only Malwarebytes, and for manual scans only) for years but I'm curious why you're stating to not use it.
MSI Center no longer makes said blue prompt appear but now after installing it and running it, MSI Center asks to restart the PC to finish the install and after clicking "Yes", a new prompt saying the PC will restart in a minute appears (it looks like the following image but it's white). After clicking "Close", Windows immediately restarts. How can I prevent this new prompt from appearing?
Whatever it is, and any other problem, you can change, fix, prevent, etc. if you know what's causing it. So please first find out what is causing it and only then can something be eliminated or fixed. And when you find out the reason, tell me what it is, only then can somebody recommend you something.
I think some programs create a restart task (and maybe Windows Update as well) and disabling notifications don't prevent this prompt from appearing. Like I said, I just install MSI Center, run it, it asks to restart the PC to finish the install and after clicking "Yes", a prompt saying the PC will restart in a minute appears (it looks like the following image but it's white). After clicking "Close", Windows immediately restarts. It's as simple as this.
