Does anybody know the registry keys for displaying emojis?

Had a few issues a while back which resulted in me reinstalling my OS, only to discover the duration of music files not being displayed. I resolved this by copying entries the registry hive from a working laptop to my desktop PC.
    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\PropertySystem\PropertyHandlers\.

Since doing this, I noticed I cannot use "emojis" on YouTube, further digging discovered I can't insert "emoticons" into Windows 10 notepad either. They display but selecting doesn't insert them into any application (includes this site).

I've created a new dummy account (with and without admin access), without success, if I use my local admin account everything is fine.

I don't have any issues doing this on my laptop, only my desktop PC, both are running Windows 10, build 19041 (I was running a later version of the insider build, but it screwed up access to manage my PC, hence the recently reinstall of my OS).

I've been through all the registry keys in the above hive, there is nothing obvious to me, both are identical, so I'm assuming the problem lies somewhere else in the registry, after extensive google searches I'm coming up blank.

    Any advice appreciated.

Sorted, the following registry entry was missing.

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Input\Settings\EnableExpressiveInputShellHotkey - DWORD = 1
