Just yesterday I upgraded to Win10 from Win7 Ultimate and quickly noticed that I was unable to type in the Edge browser. After searching all day for a solution online I finally figured out what appeared to be causing the problem......it was the KeyScrambler program I use. It worked fine with Win7 but now causes problems with Edge in Win10. I just installed the latest version of KeyScrambler which is supposed to be compatible but it worked once with a typed URL entry then quit. I am still investigating. Just had to use Task Manager to "unfreeze" the Edge browser. Anyone have any experience with this or a solution?
if like me you have disabled most of the scheduled tasks, you will find out that after upgrading from 1511 to 1607 Edge, Cortana, Maps, Store and other MS apps will now require "TextServicesFramework\MsCtfMonitor" enabled and running or you can't type in things like address bar or rename favourites, can't search in store or use cortana. different from your issue but a tip for other users, if you find out you can't type in metro apps. ie works fine, only happens in metro apps.
Now is needed to make a completely new clean install, update everything what needed, instal missing drivers etc. It is mandatory. Otherwise have problems to the end of life and you try to improve them. If this is done, You can begin to install this software, what You want and/or like.
I would just uninstall Win 10, go back to Win 7, uninstall Key Scrambler program, upgrade back to Win 10, reinstall KeyScrambler program. Since we will probably have new Win 10 build in Mar
