If it's a Thinkpad it will be the TPM (Trusted Platform Module) - it's available from the Lenovo webpage.

You are suggested to do a thorough driver backup with My Drivers after you have identified all the unknown devices with their proper device drivers software installed.

is that important ? it seems complicated . or do i just ignore and install the program ?

i did expand all of them , am not lazy . nothing was there .

ive been advised by time surfer to stay away from enabling widows updates . and i remembers now when
i was testing another installation of win7 on another partitions i used the update and windows could find anything

in case nothing was solved do i just remove it then ? and haw ? i dont see anything is missing without this device . thanks

yes you can always remove it even though windows may not recognise it if you expand it does it say whether it is working or not ? in windows device manager i mean. you can still enable windows update but have it so that it dont install them you can select which ones you wan't

xp never showed that driver but it used to show 2 lan adapters and i used to disable one of them . it had some numbers next to it like 32 or something . win7 only showed 1 .

i installed all win7 64 drivers from asus . strange thing i noticed at devices and printer screen when i right click on it , it has the eject option
like dvd devices when i clicked it my dvd device ejected , but the dvd device is already shown up the menu
