I have an laptop that I still use from time to time and Microsoft doesn't update windows 7 anymore and I've tried to do update to Windows 10 for free thru Microsoft and I need a few gigs of space to hold it, Is there another way to update my operation system that not so large in space ?? I forgot about Windows 7 cut off update time and I can't afford another laptop,All help and suggestions are definitely a blessing to me right now ,Thank you in advance.
You want to run win 10 on it with a hwid activation and you lack free space for being able to run the upgrade, clean up some space (approx. 7GB)? Why not clean install 10 and generate yourself a hwid for 10 by using MAS 1.4 (google for massgravel on github). Or leave 7 running and update it by using simplix update pack or by installing the ESU Bypass by @abbodi1406
Seems to be the original by @Windows_Addict The gatherosstate probably is modified to be able to generate the needed xml (that's how it was when @whatever127 and co created it). Or it is the one from the x86 14393 ADK. But this is probably not the place to discuss this, you can ask @Windows_Addict here by private convo or on his discord server. Or by that other method you can communicate with him.
gatherosstate.exe (x86) is original from Windows 10 Version 1607 ADK (Section: User State Migration Tool) go.microsoft.com/fwlink/p/?LinkId=526740
Thanks for your reply and the link Indeed, Microsoft has made 2 different exe for the same version of gatherosstate.exe 10.0.14393.0 in 32bits The version of ISO is signed and is 861kb while the version of ADK is unsigned and is 330kb I had a doubt about the repo where I got MAS yesterday Now it's clear and it's the right MAS repository Thanks for your work
