Updated Bios SLIC to 2.1 now Vista is asking to enter license key

    I put in the license key that I have for Acer and it rejects it. How do I do about getting it licensed again? I only have 10 days. TIA

    Your new slic is a different manufacturer than the old one, you need to install the certificate that matches the new slic.

    slmgr -ilc [filename.xrm-ms]

    You have to use the acer certificate that matches the SLIC2.1. It's a different one.
    I've moved your thread.:)
    Additionally you must have installed at least Vista SP1.

    ok will do, hahaha

    Just fixed a booting issue and it now says I have to license NOW, to go on line and resolve it...then there are 15 additional updates.
    Thank you, I will try to fix it now, I appreciate the responses.
