Hi, Had a recent disaster with a Packard Bell netbook. I had to replace the motherboard.......... Thinking that it's always best to ensure the BIOS is up to date, I proceeded to flash upgrade from v1.21 to v1.26 Upon reboot now Windows 7 Starter Edition requires activation. Unfortunately the 'cheapo' microsoft COA has worn away, so the key is completely unidentifiable. I downgraded the BIOS to 1.25, but still the problem remains. Windows now states that I have 2 days to activate. SLIC Toolkit 3.2 reports 'Dump OK! (But SLIC OEM ID or Digital Signature Error!) My thinking is that the SLIC 2.1 is located in the NVRAM and is switchable with a utility, or, there is a 'switch' with the command 'FLAs**t.EXE' but I have tried the /all switch to no avail. Any help would be appreciated.
Hello is some can make slic 2.1 bios backard bell dot s, newest bios is 1.16, but i dont can't add link here. i'm very thank full.
