    Hello ladies and gentlemen.

I have a windows 10 pro laptop. When I try to update it the updates are taking long time then I receive an error that update has failed, undoing the changes.
I do recall installing some telemetry kill script but I can not remember what it was. I would like to reset the windows 10 to original state but preserve the software installed.

If there some script or a command that I can run to reset the windows 10 to default state?

    Thank you.

What on earth did you install? Looks like one of those crappy homebrew releases out there.

Then why don't you tell that when you ask for help? Would have helped to inform what you did to cause this.

@Enthousiast My apologies for the confusion.
When @Ace2 mentioned the script I remembered using it. I haven't touched this laptop in couple of years. It was a backup laptop that I now need. Trying to figure it out and revert back to default settings.
Again, apologies for not mentioning it from the get go.

have you used any tools to slim down OS or remove packages... if you have maybe a clean install would be better using one of the many iso Enthousiast has posted..

I don't think I did. I do remember disabling updates suing software and once you mentioned Shutup script it rang a bell. Aside from that I don't think so.

    Thank you both for suggestions.

^ This! I've tried in the past some of those slim down nonsense scripts. Not worth it. Its been years since I used the stuff. Ever sense, updates work with errors.
