Today I found a new BIOS version on Asus website. Trying to update from easy flash utility in BIOS with no luck, the system freezing at the blue screen without any progress (erase, install, or something like that). Tried to run afuwin the Windows system is freezing and the only option is force shut down .(I have Aptio 5). Any help will be apreciated. Thanks in advance.
Thanks but I managed to update using ami aptio (an older version , because that downloaded from official site does NOT work, and I use UefiTool for extract (downloaded bios from Asus has only .300 as extension! ). The bios comes in archive, after extraction was not usable without that UefiToll! I spended 5 hours triyng to do this (because I had a buggy BIOS, unlocked by me , that's the reason for I changed BIOS into vanilla one, for now and for now on..That old bios has msr unlocked for...hackintosh...). So, mods, please: delete this thread cuz I think is useless from now on. Thanks!
Carefull on some models of asus laptops bios can't be updated because it doesn't correspond to the model even if the target model is correct on asus website and if you link to the correct supposed bios . i faced the problem recently with an asus vivobook s15 and winflash said the bios wasn't corresponding to my model. I already mailed asus many times for this error but since they did not fix anything.
