Upgrade Edition [HomePremium to Ultimate]

    I want to upgrade from home premium to ultimate, and before that, I want to know if I lose someting from C:\ or if my applications suffering some modifications or worse, all aplication will not working anymore...

    Then perform an upgrade.. dism /online upgrade something like that..

    Or do an anytime upgrade.

    My interest is about all effects after upgrade, not HOW TO upgrade!!

    Dude, why do you think it called upgrade? if you upgrade your car, it will continue to drive... only better :)

    @freestyler thx for your opinion
    @canouna, actually I am interested, if all the installed applications will be functional after that... I have many apps instaled and i don't want loosing settings or something else.

    you only loose oem info like logos / wallpapers / welcome screen background, nothing more,,,,,

    It is wiser to do a clean install though. Gives you a clutterless registry and the fatest performance.

    Yes I totally agree with you there clean install, but the question was Upgrade also most people only have the dvd that came with computer and rather than editing dvd e.c.t for novice user upgrade by just entering another OEM slp key is the way to go :)
