I installed Win 7 Pro on a new PC and activated it. Then I downloaded a June 2016 updated Windows 10 v1511 ISO from torrent and mounted as virtual disk. But when I run setup, it did not have "Upgrade" option. I had to install as a new and then again activate using the same product key. It worked but I wonder why there is no "Upgrade" option.

Are you sure they are in the same language?

What OS was provided with the PC? It's a self built one?

HP isn't keen if it comes to upgrades, in fact, it's terrible!
