I installed Win 7 Pro on a new PC and activated it. Then I downloaded a June 2016 updated Windows 10 v1511 ISO from torrent and mounted as virtual disk. But when I run setup, it did not have "Upgrade" option. I had to install as a new and then again activate using the same product key. It worked but I wonder why there is no "Upgrade" option.

Are you sure they are in the same language?

What OS was provided with the PC? It's a self built one?

It is an HP 8200 Elite SFF with Win7Pro OA sticker. Old PC but never used. Anyway the Win10 was giving lots of BSOD's. seems to be some driver issues.
I reinstalled Win7 Pro x64 and it again activated with the license that came with the PC and it's all good now. I am sticking to Win7 for this one.

HP isn't keen if it comes to upgrades, in fact, it's terrible!
