since windows 10 is not out yet, only MS, Billy Gates, and maybe God (that is still up to debate) whether anything at all will work. July 29th the world will know (or sooner when RTM leaks ^_^)

I guess, yes. Although most prefer a clean install. You should get w10 home as upgrade, if you want w10 pro you need to go from w7 ultimate or pro :)
You have got the windows 10 upgrade notification already?

I even got the notification on a PC that was KMS activated via MTK, so I don't think GWX checks in any way if your device is qualified or not, it's pure adware.

As for modded BIOS, I'd say it will pass because I don't know how it should be possible to differentiate a real SLIC 2.1 from a fake one (I'm not an expert so correct me if I'm wrong). Plus, if the used OEM key is coming from MSI as well, it's even less likely it can be detected.

in terms of modded bios I would say that they cannot detect it because if they were able to check this matter they had done it since years

it's al 100% from MSI, MSI MB, MSI Slic, MSI OEM KEY

Just the same as a Notebook from MSI

don't see any problem if mimic is done perfectly which means that an activated W7 notebook will pass the requirements and should show an activated W10 later this year
