For the moment I use win 7 32 bit with 3 GB memory.
Would it be worthwhile to add another GB memory and install win 7 64 bit?
I use adobe cs5 a lot and it goes sometimes slow.

I'm using about 80 ´% physical memory if I run photoshop. Looks rather a lot no?

If you uses 80% of physical memory, you are on the edged. Not sure if only 1 GB will help you very much...but it's better then nothing.

I forget but either the cpu or memory are more efficient with x64 I think cpu but with 4 GB x64 and decent set up you should be faster with adobe

yes you will see a difference imo. i have many systems from customers they upgraded to 4gb from 3gb and i have seen the difference going to x64 with 4gb. and then if you really ever need to you could even go up to 8gb with x64...

Ok I think I'll wait for another year or two to buy a new PC! Upgrading will be much cheaper for the moment, only with adobe it was struggling a little bit.

Not only RAM, a lot depends on the processor too.
I have a Quad core with 3GB RAM (32bits) and photoshop cs5 working fine without any problem.
On my laptop which is using i3, 4GB RAM (64bits), there is both cs5 in Program Files(x86) and Program Files when I installed photoshop.
Both can be used without any problem too.
So...I guess its good to have a better processor and not just only RAM.
