My decently old Desktop is slowly fading away, so I decided to upgrade.

I have bought an AMD Rizen 5 5500, an ASRock Motherboard B550M ProRS and two Corsair 16 DDR4
(ASRok has Sata, I will reconnect my SSDs and clean install Win11)

I can simply stumble ahead and replace the new parts the way I have taken out the old ones, but I would prefer small step instructions. So my question. If you know a good website, maybe YouTube, maybe others, where there is a complete WORKING set of instructions to help, please....

    Thank you

I have seen many questions from you but what exactly are you asking here?

How to connect the sate drive from the old pc to the new?

How to clean install windows on the new hardware?

This is not really about replacing hardware but an entirely new setup with the re-use of the ssd and maybe the psu and casing, i assume.

So: build the pc, connect the sata ssd and create a bootable USB with the desired windows version and boot from it, remove/delete all existing partitions from the sata ssd and re-partition and install a clean windows.

I wrote, I decided to "upgrade" and gave a list of the parts I bought. Now while the CPU and the Ram is obvious But a motherboard is connected to many parts, and the new one does certainly does not look like the old one, so, there maybe a certain way of doing everything easily, and without causes unnecessary problems.
Someone here may have done something similar recently and may have found f.e. a YouTube video that help, or something somewhere else, f.e a post on MDL that I missed.

I am obviously not a computer specialist, and in my experience it is a lot more work to fix made mistakes, than gather information before you do something, that you never did before.
It has been my experience on MDL that there some people who are very knowledgable on MDL, that will provide answer, as they remember that while I am not idiot, I am almost 80, so you can figure out how old I must have already been, when the first Apple II came out in 77...

Follow the motherboard manual about where to connect what and that's it. Alternatively, find a good (long) review for your motherboard if it exists.

The BIOS will need to be flashed and the new drivers installed. But at what stage of the install? I have been told if I simply install everything, the OS may probably not start.. so when to download Drivers?

I would flash the BIOS as soon as possible, before installing anything. Flashing is usually done from the BIOS (UEFI) itself. You put the unzipped file on the root of a flash drive (formatted FAT32) and you select it from within the BIOS.

Usually most newer Windows have the basic drivers, so you can install Windows no matter what, and then hunt for drivers. The only exception would be some HDD/SSD/NVME controllers, but on this generation of AMD that's usually not a problem. Just make sure RAID mode isn't set in BIOS.

Sorry, but.... You write "as soon as possible", which is what I had assumed anyway, but when is "as soon as possible, before installing anything"? What is anything: software AND any hardwar other than the MB? Before installing the CPU and the Ram and the SSD? I need to be offline to install the OS, but online to download the BIOS 3.41 from ASRock, or should I download it (= Bios and all Driver Sets) now, and store them on a USB stick and install all from there?

Download them now and store them on an USB stick. The order is not critical, you can install the OS first, but it is better to flash the BIOS/UEFI before that.

You need to have the CPU and RAM installed for flashing the BIOS/UEFI, no need for SSD. The SSD doesn't make a difference, can be installed (connected) or not. Also, the software (Operating System) installed doesn't make a difference.

You also need to have a graphics card (or integrated graphics) to see what you are doing. :)

When downloading, be careful to download the exact BIOS for your exact motherboard model. Sometimes there are motherboards with similar names, for example only one letter or number is different.

Thank you for answering the questions that I actually did ask.
I had a graphics card installed, will I need a dífferent NVidia driver? I already asked ASRock, and they were helpful as always. As I mentioned I already have the new Bios and I will get the others also, Thank you

    Here is a final update....

After installing the new board the ryzen and the DDR4s and flashing the Bios, I connected the old SSD, that has run on the Haswell generation CPU. I switched on and...
... it simply runs! EVERYTHING works... just a little faster.

Except of course the activation, a little watermark in the bottom corner asking me basically for $ 200 as the fee for upgrading my computer.

So, whatever you do, try to keep it simple, maybe it all works out easily by itself.

A big thank you, for all you who have helped.
