Is it possible to upgrade from the Consumer Preview to Release Preview?
If not is there a file on the iso which can be edited to allow it like in the Windows 7 betas?
    Thanks

It may be possible to upgrade from Consumer Preview to Release Preview, but is not recommended. M$ has made huge changes in RP, especially metro related like improved application not available for CP. If you upgrade using any method, you will loose Metro environment, especially messed up metro applications...

edit cversion.ini and upgrade work but it will break metro apps.

Right, which makes it a no-go. The reason for that is MS apparently did major restructuring of Metro between CP and RP. There were just too many changes in the Registry etc to be able to effectively upgrade. This should not be the case from RP to RTM, though that's a good place to do a clean install. There's no way I'm doing a clean install for RP, since we're too close to RTM now (I bet it'll be on Technet in August).
