    Hi
Can anyone on the forum help me with a technical question I have please?

I have an acerpower s280 pc and I think that the RAM is either 128 or 256 MB. I have purchased some software that I need to install and at the start of the installation process the setup wizard informed me that I need 1GB of RAM.

I have read up as much as I could find from the suppliers of the memory chips and believe that this one "1GB PC3200 400MHz Non-ECC Unbuffered 184-pin DDR DIMM Memory" is the one that I need.

My question is (I am not very tec savvy) if I purchase the chip and slot it into my pc will that be the job done or do I have to upgrade any other components to ensure that I will be able to run my software trouble free.

Thanking you very much in advance of some much needed help.

    Best regards...
