Upgrading to Windows 7 Using the HP Upgrade Assistant

    Hi folks,

    I have one notebook HP dv6750br and i like to upgrade from vista to windows 7 but i dont find the kit ( HP Upgrade Assistant ) for download on hp site. Someone have this disk and can tell how to get this?

    Hi, thanks for your reply...

    This notebook is compatible, but it was "discontinued" the HP website then the message:


    "This program will expire on March 1, 2010, and HP does not receive more requests for DVD update."
    Because this, i don't find the kit.
    They do this to force the purchase of new products. This laptop works great with Windows 7, would like to upgrade the right way.

    I have a MSDNAA license and would make the installation as recommended by HP ... seems strange, but I would try to do it properly....

    That method i.e the OEM:SLP method is more than proper ;)
