I have an HP Laptop that came with Windows 8 Home pre-installed and activated subsequently it upgraded itself to Windows 10 Home.

Now I want to upgrade Win 10 Home to Pro without using any activation tool so that the new Windows Pro will be Genuine.

Proposed method is to clean install Windows 7 Ultimate (and activate it) and upgrade to Windows 10 Pro.

If I follow the above path will my newly installed Windows Pro remain activated or revert back to Windows Home once I connect to Internet?

Which means I can use hwid directly on Windows 10 Home without going through all the trouble of installing Windows 7 and proceeding .....

Yep, but install or upgrade at least (from Home) to Pro

Copy the code above, disconnect internet first, then upgrade the product key and wait a while until asking to reboot pc, then once reboot it and wait 30 seconds and re-connect internet and will activated.

    Works for me..
