Hi My friend gave me Dell latitude E6420 laptop and he went to india. Now when I open it it lock with other user name and I reinstall Different OS like W7,W8,Vista, XP non of this work. It will install OS and When I install Driver and Update OS than It will changed setting automatically and come different file. It will logoff me and no more login again. When I install Ubantu it will run fine but it is new for me and don;t know any more if any body help me what can i do or how can i used it.
to unlock a user try the ntfs.com active@ boot disk if its not x64 try hirens bootdisk what i use is Yumi usb tool to make gparted and windows 7 magnet link (from the official windows 7 repository steps) or the one with Service pack 1 media refresh
I try this and I contact to my friend who gave this laptop he told me that laptop was activated with anti theft from his office. So I don;t know what can I do i want to returend to hime but he is India now. If anybody have idea to fix it or i need to trash it.
