Forgive me if I'm posting this in the wrong section, wasn't sure where to go with this question. I need some help - I see brilliant people in here all the time. Scenario: This guys acer laptop with windows 7, mouse doesn't work. USB ports don't work. Is there an adapter where you can plug a usb mouse into then have it plug into the ethernet? If so, I'm not finding it in my google searches, keep finding the opposite of what I need. Thanks for any input - need a specific name (or perhaps a url ) to this -
If you mean you want to plug a USB mouse into the network port with an adapter, then no, forget it. Does the touchpad work? If so, then use it to go into device manager and troubleshot the USB problem. -- SC
there are USB PCMCIA cards you can buy, then you can attach a USB NIC to it... pretty ugly and ghetto, but it works
If you think it's a driver isue, than you could connect remote (ie teamviewer, MS remote desktop,...). only problem: you will need a client on the laptop you wan't to connect to.
