The Windows-based bios flash utilities are error prone in WinXP and Vista, let alone Windows 7. Are you able to flash your bios at the DOS PROMPT?
What motherboard do you have AFUDOS 4.x doesn't work with some older motherboards. Some need AFUDOS 2.36 or 2.32 or 2.21 or 2.19, etc. Check your MB maunfacturers website and see what Version of AFUDOS is supplied to flash your exact BIOS. Do NOT Flash from windows with AFUWIN (even if there is one for your MB on that site) !!!!
Does RMPrepUSB work in Windows 7 Does RMPrepUSB work from withing Windows 7? ALL of these utilities will work from within Windows XP. For compatibility, it would be worth the cost of a 1GB thumbdrive to set it up from within a Windows XP machine and write protect it.
