my laptop had problem in USB port . It's always show yellow flag , I don't know how to fix it . I found problem start at windows 10 build 10166 till build 10240. But windows 10 lower build 10166 not found any problem in same as devise.
Notebook? You don't have a card reader listed so it's probably a usb card reader. Find drivers/software & install them...
I had the same Message with my Canon Pixma Printer, got it solved with unplugging everything and restarting the System. After restarting the System it detected the Printer, i plugged everything back in and restarted again und it still detects it, but i guess you tried that allready
I also have an older usb2 flash drive that doesn't work in win10 for me, but there's not a lot I can even do about it since the OS isn't released.
the device descripter failed message is nasty, there is 2 things it can be... delete all of your usb hubs and refresh to let them redetect, if that doesn't solve it... its likely to be a hardware failure. I have a laptop with a webcam that gets that error, even on clean installs of Win7, 8 and 10 it still gives that error.
copy the hardware id paste it in google you will find what missing..download the files open devices manager go in your device with error open press for install and choose the path of the files you have download ..that i do when one of my hardware have errors
this is a different type of error, its not a driver is missing, its a device can't start or a driver is corrupted, but its always related to the usb hubs.
yep, no new bios, but in my case it is a permanent error, its the webcam which no longer works, although i've even swapped the webcam out to another one off another notebook of the exact same model and get the same error, if I unplug the webcam the error goes away so I can only assume its a problem with the motherboard. The error occurs in all versions of windows on clean installs.
