Use free WMC key on legal Pro install after it has already been used to upgrade KMS?

    I used the KMS + free WMC key trick to activate Windows 8 permanently. If I format this installation on the same computer and I install legal retail Win8 Pro, will I be able to use the same free WMC key on it?

    And even if it works will it be safe and genuine or could it cause problems in the future as the key has been previously used to upgrade an illegal copy?

    Never tested that way... But why to use same key... Offer is still valid & install with new key.. Why to play with genuine keys?

    Because I requested a key on an alternate address 5 days ago and still haven't received.

    Took the plunge yesterday with promo offer (new key) and WMC key that was used before (on the same laptop) on a fresh install and everything activated without problems.

    I done this kind of job on my machine.No problems until now,Windows is activated.
